    A Preston County tradition since 1938, the Buckwheat Festival is held in Kingwood and begins the last Thursday of each September. Over 100,000 visitors arrive to enjoy the large fairgrounds, three parades, livestock barns, arts and crafts sales and of course, our world-famous buckwheat cakes and sausage!
